Me thinks Cal, that if you used the quote button in the way it was meant to be used, you wouldn't have just posted that post in the wrong thread.

Actually, I'm writing a short action/horror screenplay for 3dmm now, but I don't know if Sergon would be able to do it. He'd surely be competent enough, but it would also need a lot of vehicle and costume creation, ie flowing trenchcoats, military uniforms, jeep, trucks, tanks...

It will only be short, but if I get a top-notch director, it should be one of the coolest films ever made. I'll make a topic about it now in 3dmm Discussion...

No shit, dude. I meant somebody other than Ben, who I think didn't do a very good job with the script.

WOW. I am blown away. When I saw all the hype at first, I was skeptical. I saw the King a few months ago, and thought it was good. I expected this to be along the lines of that.

WRONG!

This was so far above and beyond that.

Sergon, for about a year now, I have been wishing that a talented director would break away from the mold, and build his scenes entirely from 3d words, and finish an excellent movie that way. There have been some who tried. But to me, this is the first film to pull it off really well. It was beautiful, and unique. Great cinematic effects.

Throughout the whole movie I remember thinking... " Whoa, that camera angle change was cool. How the hell did he come up with the idea to use that camera angle."

Your scenes were always giving us new angles and perspectives.

Excellent work. This may be one of the top 5 3dmm films of all time, in my opinion.

Hats off to you, and I look forward to the next installment.

Wow. I don't know what to say, Melrose... That was really unexpected... As is this whole feedback for this movie. Exceeded my expectations.
It has been very helpful and encouraging, guys.
Thank you all very much.

Oh........I've always thought of Ben Fortier as one of the much better screen writers of the community.

Like the script for "My last day in normandy" was fuckin great. Dialogue wasn't great, but great story!

I just watched this, and I must say it was very well done. I loved all the different camera angles. the direction in this movie was definately top notch. although I do think he over did alot of the shots, after a while I wanted to see a straight forward scene. It was kinda like watching a moving with constantly moving camera's, sometimes less is more. but that is a minor gripe. Music and voice acting were also a highlight. and I really liked how it set up with the interview and that whole scenario. although I felt that most of the dialogue and situations were a little blah. anyway, excellent werk sergon and I am definately looking forward to your future projects

8.5/10

The camera stuff was excellent, and the shadow stuff was awesome. The script was well paced, and the final battle was pretty cool.

Oh... and bonus marks for using "Tank!" in the opening scenes.

Thanks for the kind words Jeff.

Cal, I'm sorry you were disappointed in the script. However, I'm much more for story lines than dialogue. My dialogue isn't extremely witty, or well thought. I like to make my dialogue half-Hollywood and half-realistic. The story isn't the dialogue, the dialogue is just there to push the story along. However, I'd rather pull the story along, rather then push with strong dialogue. To sum it up, my screen plays are this:

Strong story, weak dialogue

The weak dialogue pulls along the strong story, using cheesy lines, and just average lines to make the movie seem a little more realistic, but also to have a good understanding of the story.

I must admit, however, 100% effort was not put into this movie on my part. I feel really bad, honestly, because Sergon hauled most of the load. But, if you guys think this one was good, you ain't seen nothin yet.

Well, see I didn't have too much a problem - I can see that you CAN write well. But my problem was too many of it just didn't work. Like the whole scene where he's like "you're gonna get me in that building or i'll shoot you myself". And the fact that there was only one terrorist, and one hostage, yet even after the hostage was dead, the cops didn't attempt to storm the building.

Just little points like that. And what team is made of three members... what happened to all the other team members who were in the briefing?

I understand that. Like I said, the script was tossed together in about a week. Very little effort.

I just saw it and holy cow, its one hell of a great blend of story and 'in a way, Graphics'. Im not on about big ass action scenes Im on about character movements and angles, the way the characters hold people in certain situations,( though easily done) they have never been done in such a way that adds to the movie's feel.
Espirits style is so unique yet basic, best stealth/tatical movie Ive seen, brilliant.
