Medieval Travels with Gety and Buz Episode 1
Directed by: Chris Burrage
Released: June 2005
Preview Getysburg and Buzvonlurt have pulled together this entertaining fare in a fairly short time. The story involves two medieval men trying to flee the plague, settle, and raise their families. Of course, it wouldn't be a comedy if it went smoothly, and it doesn't. What ensues is a funny mix of bizzarre circumstances and lots of trouble. The presentation is where the movie suffers the most. The camera angles are mostly stagnant and generally poorly composed. A lot of times the foreground gets confused with the background, and some weird perspectives cause some head scratching. The visuals themselves boast custom modelling and texturing. These are generally good, though it would be nice to see some of the atrocious wood textures replaced using v3dmm too. Voicing was good throughout. The story demands rapid British dialogue, and the voice actors fit wonderfully into their part. The music was also well done. The light and happy tudor music juxtaposed with zombie fare really set the mood for this comical tale. You can't go wrong with watching some wacky humor and decent texturing, so give this a download for a good laugh. Review by Andrew Salter.

Medieval Travels with Gety and Buz Episode 2
Directed by: Chris Burrage
Released: June 2005
Preview The next chapter in Getysburg and Buzvonlurt's comedy series, Episode 2 is shorter and less funny than the first episode. The story is moving along as the two are still looking for a way to beat the plague (or at least outrun it) but the story doesn't progress much over the movie's short length. The only major development is the duo arrives in Ireland. The movie is still good to look at. This directing duo does some nice environmental work, lending some life to things not often achieved in 3DMM. The voices are still top-notch, with Gety and Buz making good use of comic silences, as well as humerous dialogue. The problem with this installment is it's too short for anything worthwhile to happen. The episode ends before it begins, which makes for a less satisfying experience. Still, Episode 2 is the most worthwhile series to watch since Community Clash. Review by Andrew Salter.
