Beheaded
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: May 2000
Preview This movie was made last year. Hmmm... what can I say? This movie is so-so for today. Decent scenery, nice animation. I guess you could call it a classic. Well, this is a good horror movie and the end it pretty good seeing that is has better scenes.

Black and White

Preview The best thing I can do to the describe this movie is telling you that it's a mixture between American History X and Mississippi Burning. Although this movie has a very strong plot I found the scenery to be average. To be honest I was expecting a bit more. The movie length is good, running a good 10 minutes or so. What makes this movie interesting is that there aren't many boring pieces that just slow the movie down. Unfortunately I found the ending a bit rushed - that's not a very good thing if you have a movie with a good solid plot. The best thing about this movie is the way it depicted racism with realism. I've seen many other 3dmm movie with this sort of plot but they can't compare to this. This is by far the best drama movie containing a racism plot. The music, characters and drama sequences help make this movie something quite different. The overall outcome of this movie is good, and although there is a lack of great scenery and a rushed ending, it's still quite special, earning itself a place in my personal top 10 drama's.

Darkness Within
Directed by: Dave Smith, Andrew Murphy
Released: June 2001
Preview Well I wasn't too impressed. I think this is the worst of the trilogy. The scenery was still very good and the overall look of the film was pleasing. However, the voice acting was sub-standard and the plot was luke-warm. Aside the dodgy erotic scenes, cheap voicing and lacking plot,. this wasn't a complete bomb, it had its good points. Download for a structured crime drama with some flaws. Review by Richard Bevis.

Darkness Within 2
Directed by: Dave Smith, Andrew Murphy
Released: April 2002
Preview Well now I kinda enjoyed this movie! I became deeply involved with the characters and their lifestyles rotating around an epic storyline and decent scenery. I loved the way this movie was made, the feel it had to it, however I was slightly confused by the introduction. Nevertheless it was a strong action, crime drama. Review by Richard Bevis.

Darkness Within 3
Directed by: Andrew Murphy, Dave Smith
Released: May 2005
Preview Hmm I didn't enjoy this as much as the 2nd 'Darkness Within.' It seemed like it was made simply as a sequel, forced to be made, it didn't have the same feel as the 2nd. The voice acting remains very good and the plot still as twisted but the scenery has gone downhill slightly, and it didn't have that 'Darkness Within' involvement. Still in saying that it was pretty good and is a reasonable sequel to this action, crime drama series. Review by Richard Bevis.

Faggot Massacre
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: January 2000
Preview A default scenery old skool movie by Dave Smith. About a bar invaded by gay people but the queers go too far and take over the land, eating people and ass raping them to death. All thats left are 3 people trapped in a house, fending off the gays for as long as they can... It's pretty bad now, silly voices and sound effects but the animation was ok I guess. If you like Daves old skool work this would be worth checking out for sure. Review by Ben Rice.

Faggot Massacre 2
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: March 2000
Preview The sequel to Dave's insane adventure, Faggot Massacre, the remaining survivors escape from the island invaded by evil gay people. However there were some who clutched on to the plane and made their way to Misty City, spreading their queer disease wherever they go. As the survivors fight for their survival in a abandoned shopping centre (Dawn of The Dead anyone?), the power of the undead homos cannot be contained, the world is turning queer and there is nothing that can be done... This was alot more entertaining then the first one, with better animations and more action. The Faggot Massacre movies go alot into the 'Night of The Living Dead' genre, and alot of ideas are obviously taken from it and it's classic sequels. If you like Dave's movies or enjoyed the first Faggot Massacre, then do watch this movie. Review by Ben Rice.

Gleason
Directed by: Andrew Murphy, Dave Smith
Released: November 1999
Preview Dear gawd this was boring. No story at all and an overuse of premade 3DMM scenes. It just goes on and on with mindless, boring dialogue. The main character's consistent noise became very annoying eventually. Parts of 'Gleason' are funny but hardly worth downloading.

Gleason 2
Directed by: Andrew Murphy, Dave Smith
Released: June 2001
Preview Well, I had to push myself to watch all of this! and at times it was weird, at times it went too long and well I'm guessing it's picking on a person that the directors know so it isn't as entertaining to us, I actually didn't like the movie one bit, sorry guys, I'm sure if you attempted a serious movie maybe it would be better, the animation was poor and well, yeah.

Jake
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: August 2004
Preview The opening movie for this fall's Film Festival organised by the lovely, Jeff Ching. Directed by 3dmming veteran, Dave Smith, 'Jake' depicts how the life of a guy changes when his friends harshly bully a new kid. It reminded me of quite a few of Blake Walkers drama's. It's a fairly violent affair and has to have some of the most disturbing moments in 3dmm'ing history. Perhaps Dave over dramatised the the mentality of a bully... I don't know, but this is TEH MOVIES! I couldn't help but feel that the movie ended a little abruptly, a point I have only picked up on because I read a review on one of my favorite childhood cartoon series just yesterday, where it stated exactly the same thing. The animation and scenery looks and feels a tad dated, but it does the job and in my opinion hasn't affected the quality of the movie. I think the same can be said for the voice acting. All in all, a great start to the Film Festival and a 3dmm Studio recommendation.

Man on the Edge
Directed by: Dave Smith, Andrew Murphy
Released: November 2004
Preview Dave Smith brings us another very dark film about teenagers attending a juvenile school. The dialogue in this film has it's ups and downs, and the voice acting is the same way. At times, good, at other times, brutally bad. Characters are quite original, and I think this is what will keep your interest. The animation and scenery are brutally bad, even for the time this movie was made. Only watch this movie if you liked other Dave Smith films.

My Last Day in Normandy
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: July 2001
Preview A rather ungripping but on-the-rails kind of film, My Last Day In Normandy is a World War 2 story of a soldier and his life at war. Sporting some very fine war atmoshpere, but still failing to grasp the war film 'soul', My Last Day In Normandy is a good movie for those people sitting on a lonely night with nothing to do. Oh, and there's some soldier sex, too.

Necro NIght
Directed by: Dave Smith, Jeremy Dick
Released: December 2004
Preview A short horror comedy from Jeremy and Dave here for the Winter Film Festival 2004. It has a simple zombie story; two curious boys resite an age old spell to bring revivethe dead. Their fun backfires when the spell actually works, resulting in the dead rising from their graves to eat the living. Enraged, a zombie hunter makes it his job to go after them. The scenery is a mix between the default angles, enhanced with the new expansion pack textures. It looks ok, but it isn't exactly a new or original technique. I thought the voice acting was quite well done, but other than that nothing else really shined. It is all very average, dating looking stuff. It wouldn't have looked out of place 3/4 years ago to be perfectly honest. I really can't suggest this as a worthwhile download to everyone, but make sure it becomes part of your collection if you are a particualr fan of the horror genre, or you are a die hard Dave Smith or Jeremy Dick follower.

Simulated Evil
Directed by: Dave Smith, Andrew Murphy
Released: February 2003
Preview Quite an enjoyable watch. It starts off being a bit bizarre, but stick with it and all will become clear. The music fitted very well, although in places it was slightly too heavy. The scenery is more than adequate most of the time, the voice acting is very good, and the blood and gore effects are excellent. It's good to see Dave back.

Thorn 3
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: October 2000
Preview Horror's seem to be very rare in 3dmm, and usually result with very dire results. Despite this, this horror is one of the best, but there's quite a lot of downsides to this. Such as the voice acting, the people would "scream" out in a very monotone voice thus reducing the horror feel. The effects are good though, and the scenery is good all round.

Thorn 4
Directed by: Dave Smith
Released: December 2000
Preview An OK horror movie. It's refreshing to have the villain kill everyone outright with no mercy. I always hate it when the goodies manage to slip away an shit. Unfortunately the movie is just too averagely directed. Better sound effects would have helped alot. It's difficult to do horrors in 3dmm so it's nice when people give it a go.
