Saxon's first release in the community, although in the form of a teaser, is impressive enough to convince people he's going to make movies of merit. As far as trailers go, however, this one doesn't contain too much story. There's no mention of plot, no set up, so all the action onscreen is a complete mystery. There are some perspective issues in the animation, where characters will fly high into the air without the mountains moving with them, or with quick zooms that don't have actor and surroundings at the same speed. The soundtrack also fades out a little too early, leaving the remainder of the trailer in near silence until the title is revealed. Though visually pleasing for the most part, the trailer gives no indication on whether the plot will be something substantial, which makes it get hard to be excited for. However, the look of the film is compelling enough to make one want to see the film. Review by Andrew Salter. |
